Haberman Haven is an irregular, pistol-shaped floodplain preserve formed through the combination of two abutting parcels. The widest part of the preserve lies in Mansfield along the east side of Route 89, and a long, narrow extension of the preserve reaches across the Mt. Hope River. The floodplain has dense riparian thicket vegetation that makes it more suitable for wildlife than for visitors. However, fishing access to the Mt. Hope River is available from the upstream Route 89 bridge.
Location: On the east side of Route 89, straddling the Ashford/Mansfield town line and extending across the Mt. Hope River.
