Event type: Walk
July 15, 2015, 9:00 am
Join Marcia Kilpatrick, naturalist and Joshua’s Trust member, on a guided tour of 1.8 miles in the 143-acre Friedman Memorial Forest in Ashford. The land is forested and the perennial Bebbington Brook runs thru the western third of the preserve. There is a new boardwalk to help traverse the swampy areas. Along the walk there are many splendid large trees including a white oak with a 12 foot-plus circumference, and we hope to find the yellow snapdragons in bloom.
Directions: Off of Rt. 89, take Bicknell Road to the end, then take a left on Bebbington Road. Look for and park at the small lot with Joshua’s Trust signs on the right side of the road. For information/updates, please call Marcia Kilpatrick at (860) 455-1226.
