Executive Director Mike Hveem.So far he has:

…Established The Madge Manfred Memorial Camp Scholarship Fund this past June with the Salvation Army to send children from Joshua’s Trust’s fourteen town region to Camp CONNRI in Ashford.

…Worked with the Land Trust Alliance (LTA) and its National Land Trust Excellence Program, as Joshua’s Trust is one of only three land trusts out of 137 in Connecticut to be so honored.

…Concluded the first bobolink habitat protection project in Chaplin, a successful cooperative effort with JT, an area farmer, and our avid community of birders.

…Worked with the New England Forestry Foundation and MassConn Sustainable Forest Partnership to reach area landowners interested in learning more about conservation options for their land.

…Partnered with the Connecticut Forest & Park Association and the Town of Mansfield to collectively contact owners of properties over which the Blue-Blazed Hiking Trails cross, in order to better coordinate protection of this important resource.

…Held our first Connecticut Open House Day at the Atwood Farm, at which we welcomed over 100 visitors to view the grounds and historic buildings.
