Walktober #153 – Wednesday Walk at Hubbard Sanctuary
October 11, 2023 @ 8:00 am - 9:30 am
Join us at Hubbard Sanctuary for a leisurely walk through multiple habitats.
EDIT: We’re going to offer the opportunity to visit Agnes’ Pasture which adds a short but steep hill and an additional 1/4 miles through beautiful white pines and open meadow. We’ll have multiple walk leaders on hand if you’d rather stick to the flat trail listed below.
Hubbard Sanctuary is a fairly flat, 1.4 mile loop that takes approximately 40 minutes to complete. We will begin behind the Chaplin Town Hall where the yellow-blazed trail runs along a large, protected grassland habitat. From there we will continue until we reach the woodland section and will take the flat, blue-blazed trail until it reconnects with the yellow trail near Darling Pond before connecting with the loose-graveled trail through Garrison Park. Click HERE for a trail map.
The walk begins promptly at 8:00 a.m. and will be cancelled in the event of rain. Bring water, bug spray, and appropriate hiking gear as needed.
I will post on Instagram and Facebook as well as this page if we decide to cancel the walk due to weather or other, unforeseeable circumstances.
If you have any questions or concerns, please call me, Michelle Poudrette, the Development and Communications Manager, at (860) 429-9023, or email me at michelle.poudrette@joshuastrust.org. Registration is not required.
Parking is available behind the Chaplin Town Hall. We will have a sign posted.

We look forward to seeing you on the trails.
