It’s CT Trails Day at the Gurleyville Grist Mill!
June 2 @ 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm
Join Joshua’s Trust and the Connecticut Forest and Park Association for a CT Trails Day adventure at the historic Gurleyville Grist Mill along the Fenton River.
Take a self-guided tour along this gorgeous stretch of the Nipmuck Trail then stop by the Grist Mill for a guided tour of the 18th century mill. This original stone mill contains water-powered gears, original milling stones, bolter, and assorted tools. The Miller’s Cottage next door to the Mill is the birthplace of Wilbur L. Cross. The trails are open from dawn to dusk and the Grist Mill opens at 1:00 PM. Grab your hiking boots or a picnic basket and enjoy your time by the Fenton River.
