Annual Meeting
April 15, 2023 @ 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm
Come meet with your fellow members to socialize, celebrate accomplishments, elect new Trustees* and enjoy a talk, by forester, Emery Gluck, entitled, “Effects of Natural Disturbances and New Englanders on our Oak Forests and Bird Habitat.”
*All are welcome to attend but only members may vote for new Trustees.
Emery Gluck of Lebanon retired in 2021 after 41 years as a forester for the CT Department of Energy and Environmental Protection. Most recently he worked to manage the Nehantic State Forest in Lyme and the Cockaponset State Forest. Mr. Gluck was one of 11 foresters nationally who received the Society of American Foresters Presidential Field Forester Award for displaying “uncommon talent, skill, and innovative methods to achieve a record of excellence in the application of forest management” in 2016. Since retirement, Emery has nurtured his own forested acres and written and spoken about sustainable forestry practices.
