Nature Magnified!
February 22 @ 10:00 am - 11:00 am
Join Michelle Poudrette, JT’s Interim Executive Director, on a fun, loop de loupe through Madeline Regan Preserve in Tolland. Participants will explore the micro world of lichens, mosses, ferns and more through a small handheld magnifier known as a loupe as we traverse the two loops within the preserve. Loupes will be provided.
*Registration is required to ensure that we have enough loupes for everyone. Please register at the link here: REGISTER ME
Limit 20 people.
The Madeline Regan Preserve is a 29-acre parcel through beautiful pines, ferns, and some upland oak habitat. The yellow “Old CT Path” trail intersects the property and there are two “loop” trails branching of this center trail. The red, Esker Trail is somewhat hilly whereas the blue loop may be a bit muddy depending on weather conditions. The total hike will be about one mile. Appropriate hiking and cold-weather gear is recommended.
If you have any questions or concerns, please call Michelle at (860) 429-9023, or email michelle.poudrette@joshuastrust.org.
We look forward to seeing you in Tolland.
