Wednesday Walk at Church Farm

Join us at Church Farm in Ashford, CT.
Church Farm is wooded and includes a viewpoint atop ledges that in winter provides a vista of the Mount Hope River valley. We’ll take the Blue Trail from Varga Rd and turn left onto the Yellow Trail. After a brief uphill scramble, we will continue onto the yellow until it meets the shortcut back to the trail head for a total of two miles.

*On Varga Road parking is available on the right 500 feet off Route 89. The new trailhead entrance is 100 feet beyond the parking pull-off on opposite side of the street.
The walk begins promptly at 9:00 a.m. and will be cancelled in the event of rain. Snow will not necessarily cancel the walk unless it’s extremely heavy. Bring water and appropriate hiking gear as needed. This trail is steep. Hiking poles are recommended.
I will post on Instagram and Facebook as well as this page if we decide to cancel the walk due to weather or other, unforeseeable circumstances.
