Wednesday Walk at Knowlton Hill Preserve (POSTPONED DUE TO ICY CONDITIONS)

Join us at Knowlton Hill Preserve in Mansfield.
Trails on both sides of Knowlton Hill Road wind through 127 acres of woods and fields past Knowlton Pond and then to the crest of a glacial drumlin, which affords a commanding view of the Mount Hope River valley and the pond. Along one trail, two granite benches have been placed in memory of William S. Toubman. These present an irresistible stopping point to rest and take in the scenery.
For this two-mile walk, we’ll start at the trailhead on Knowlton Hill Rd and follow the yellow trail past the gorgeous silver maple down to the orange loop by Knowlton Pond and around the yellow until it loops back to where we started. There are some gradual hills and a few wet areas here.

The walk begins at 9:00 a.m. and will be cancelled in the event of rain. Snow will not necessarily cancel the walk unless it’s extremely heavy. Bring water and appropriate hiking gear as needed.
I will post on Instagram and Facebook as well as this page if we decide to cancel the walk due to weather or other, unforeseeable circumstances.
