Wednesday Walk at Utley Hill Preserve (Cancelled)

June 19 @ 9:00 am - 10:30 am

(Juneteenth National Independence Day is a Federal Holiday. We have decided to postpone this event to a date TBD.)

Join us at Utley Hill Preserve in Columbia, CT for a multi-habitat adventure and a little history, too.

The loop in Utley Hill Preserve is  approximately 2.50 miles long and will take us roughly 1 and 1/2 hours to complete.

We will  meet at the Columbia Recreation Park at 60 Hennequin Rd. After you pull into the Park, take the first right just before the tennis courts and follow the road until you see the Joshua’s Trust trail kiosk.

The trails through Utley Hill preserve are very well maintained. There is the possibility of a few challenging spots through mud and possibly water depending on weather conditions. There are some minor rocks and roots to navigate but the trails are mostly flat and easy to traverse.

Click HERE for a trail map and directions to the preserve.

There’s plenty of parking. All are welcome to attend. Leashed dogs are welcome.

The walk begins 9:00 a.m. and will be cancelled in the event of rain. Bring water, bug spray or net, and appropriate hiking gear as needed.

I will post on Instagram and Facebook as well as this page if we decide to cancel the walk due to weather or other, unforeseeable circumstances.

If you have any questions or concerns, please call me, Michelle Poudrette, the Development and Communications Manager, at (860) 429-9023, or email me at michelle.poudrette@joshuastrust.org. Registration is not required.

We look forward to seeing you in Columbia.
