Forest Meditation

The woodland trails belonging to Joshua’s Trust were busier than ever this year.
With so many working from home the trails were a safe place to avoid exposure to
the pandemic. The opportunity to get out and get moving in fresh air provided not
only a physical outlet, but also a mental health break. As we resume a more normal
and sometimes hectic schedule our forests can also offer a calming experience.
Forest meditation is practiced by sitting quietly in a secluded space, away from the
noise of traffic and civilization.

Observe the scene, the fluttering leaves, the insects moving, the colors, the textures.
Feel the breeze, inhale the scents, and slow your breathing. Settle into the quiet and relax your body.
